It's a bright autumn day and Deer Demon, also known as Eikthyr, is a new exchange student at the Niihama Higashi High School. Everyone is friendly enough, but Deer Demon doesn't really talk to anyone until he meets a normal girl named Hikari. After a few conversations, he learns that Hikari can turn into a giant raven to ferry the dead to Valheim. Intrigued, he asks Hikari on a date. Later that week on their date, they begin talking about life and Hikari says she is a member of the band Love Pentagram. The drummer, CERBERUS, is a 40-foot tall blue teenager who is a bit of a loner. The bass guitarist is Yumi, a clown girl who can levitate. And the lead singer is Horse Boi. "We could really use a lead guitarist," Hikari tells Deer Demon. "Mine hands are but hooves," says Deer Demon, "but for ye, I shall try." Deer Demon joins the band. The band has a successful tour, but on one dark and stormy night, while practicing, a vampire breaks into the studio. Deer Demon slays it with his awesome guitar skills, and the band decides that they will go vampire hunting.
To hunt the vampires, they devise a macabre contraption in which each member would put their hand into a box at different times. One person would go and kill the vampire while the others watched from the other side of the screen. The murder would happen in slow-motion and, as long as everyone was watching, the vampire would not see that he was being killed. But while the band was out on their mission, the rest of the mortal world fell into a plague and the band is presumed dead. When they return, the police throw their coffins in the basement and declare it a crime scene. And thus the murders begin.
Yūko Futamata, a music producer, learns of the band's plight and decides to go with them on their quest. Together, the four young people will fight a war against the vampire menace, while trying to find out what happened to their own band members.
The ending has a little twist. The fourth band member turns out to be (of course) Tengu, the vampire
